MisesWiki talk:Roaming Hat

From Mises Wiki, the global repository of classical-liberal thought

I'm thinking this may be better suited for MisesWiki:Roaming Hat, as it's more of an internal initiative than an article describing the phenomenon. --Forgottenman (talk) 15:01, 15 November 2010 (CST)

I'm sorry, I don't follow what you are saying. Where should it be moved? Briggs 15:55, 16 November 2010 (CST)

Wikis have namespaces: so there's the "main" namespace for encyclopedia-type articles (like Ludwig von Mises). There's also a MisesWiki namespace, which is where internal pages go – MisesWiki:About or MisesWiki:Copyrights. They are identified by the prefix MisesWiki. On Wikipedia, the "Wikipedia" namespace is used for the same kinds of things (About, Copyrights, other stuff) but also pages like wikipedia:Wikipedia:Department of Fun. I think this page (with the goal of getting other users to add pictures to it) fits more into the "fun" / internal side of things rather than "the global repository of classical-liberal thought." --Forgottenman (talk) 19:02, 16 November 2010 (CST)

I'm happy with whatever you think is best, as long as it can be found just as easily. If you do move it and it gets a new address, please let me know so that I can update the various links. Briggs 11:11, 18 November 2010 (CST)

I've made the move. We can leave the redirect in place indefinitely, until someone wants to create an encyclopedia-type article on the phenomenon. At that point we can still put a link at the top to the new location. --Forgottenman (talk) 11:15, 18 November 2010 (CST)
Sounds great! Thanks! Briggs 11:17, 18 November 2010 (CST)
