Adding an event
Anyone can add an event! Here are a few guidelines and suggestions:
- Add events that are relevant to the history of liberty; for example:
- Birth dates of important thinkers
- Enactments of key legislation for or against the cause of liberty
- Important events, such as battles, speeches, new technologies, etc.
- In particular, events not related to the US
- Add as many events to a particular day as you like
- Briefly summarize the event:
- About 15–25 words
- Use the past tense
- Don't be afraid of red links
- Use consistent formatting:
- Note the formatting of existing entries, especially in terms of punctuation.
- Many dates do not have any entries yet. To create a new "date" article with correct formatting, use Template:Anniversary:
{{subst:Anniversary|Month name|Day|Year|Description of the event}}
