Bull market is period of rising prices on the stock exchange and/ or commodity markets. It is also a period of optimism in the financial markets with a general expectation of still higher prices in the future. A bull market is usually accompanied by an upsurge in buying on margin, i.e., buyers borrowing a part of the funds with which they pay for their purchases.
