Exit International is an Australia-based right-to-die organization, established in 1997, and led by its founder and director, Philip Nitschke. Exit also has on staff a nurse, a business manager, and a coordinator.[1] Exit's literature states "A Peaceful Death is Everybody's Right" and "At Exit, we view the issue of end-of-life choices within a broader philosophical framework of human rights. We strongly advocate that it is the right of every rational adult to a peaceful death at a time and place of their choosing." The organization claims to try "to restrict its advice to elderly people and those with terminal illnesses or chronic pain over 50".[2] Exit publishes The Peaceful Pill Handbook and a Deliverance newsletter.[3]
