McCulloch v. Maryland

McCulloch v. Maryland 17 U.S. 316 (decided March 6, 1819) was a US Supreme Court case that addressed the issue of the constitutionality of a Maryland law taxing the Bank of the United States, and, by extension, the constitutionality of the bank itself.[1]
