Philadelphia Convention

The Philadelphia Convention (or Constitutional Convention) was a convention of delegates that met in Philadelphia in 1787. Delegates from 12 of the 13 states (the only exception being Rhode Island) met with the original purpose of proposing amendments to the Articles of Confederation, but the result of the convention was a new constitution.
