From Mises Wiki, the global repository of classical-liberal thought
Restitution is compensation paid by an offender to a victim, often as part of a sentence imposed in a criminal case. The 2004 Libertarian Party platform called for "restitution for the victim to the fullest degree possible at the expense of the criminal or wrongdoer".[1]
