Socialism of the Russian pattern

Socialism of the Russian pattern is a form of socialism in which all the material means of production (farms, factories, capital goods, stores, etc.) are legally owned by the government and operated by government employees as ordered by government directives. Such a system does not maintain the appearance of market transactions in the means of production as does "Socialism of the German pattern".
