Talk:Volkswirtschaft

I am not an economics expert. That said, having just chanced upon this forum, I would say that in the German language the term "Volkswirtschaft" is used to distinguish general economics from business administration, "Betriebswirtschaft". There are no socialist connotations to the term.

Which only goes to show that mass imports of old content are far from perfect. :)
I have slightly expanded the definition to make clear that it is in Mises' interpretation the term has these connotations, although one certainly has to be careful with the term (if one speaks about the economy of 'the people' or the nation, it is very often implied that the people/nation/government should have a decisive influence on it). Hope this helps a bit, thank you for pointing it out! Pestergaines (talk) 14:25, 24 November 2014 (EST)
