The Buy Silver – Crash JP Morgan campaign was called for by noted financial commentator Max Keiser in November 2010.[1] It is also featured on his website.[2]

He is essentially attempting to start a bank run on JP Morgan in an attempt to expose what he considers is fraudulent "counterfeiting" of paper silver in the derivatives markets through naked short selling.

This is a real-time example of the problems and weaknesses involved in fractional reserve banking and an example why some Austrian economists believe the practice essentially amounts to legalized embezzlement.
