Article name

Is there a specific reason the title of this article is different from the one on Wikipedia? The naming convention there is set up that way for a reason. While "short selling" does redirect to that page, the article name is "Short (finance)" for a few reasons. Just off hand,

  1. It makes for a more accurate representation of the article content, as the term "short" can be a copular verb, referring to the position one has taken on an investment, a transitive verb, referring to what you are doing to the investment, or a noun, referring to the action itself.
  2. It keeps with naming conventions in the designation of an article name that requires disambiguation.
  3. It helps prevent confusion with the process by the same name that takes place in the real estate field.

To deal with number 3 for now, I used a hatnote, but I think using the title the way Wikipedia does would be preferable, as the real estate usage is just as common and valid as the finance usage. --John James 05:34, 17 November 2011 (MSK)

You're right, I wanted to use the better known name short selling, but completely missed the other meaning. I'll move the page, thanks! Pestergaines 16:12, 17 November 2011 (MSK)
