"I don't enjoy writing, but I like making redirects." - that was about the shortest and funniest summary of user preferences I have seen. Welcome, CGrapes429. Hope you find much to redirect here! :) Pestergaines 14:39, 3 December 2010 (CST)

Using the "Summary:" notation box

Hey, CGrapes429! You are on the move! Thanks for all you are providing.

A small favor: When you start up a page, or when you make an edit to an existing page, before you commit to the Save page button, just above that button is the "Summary": box, a skinny, long white rectangle. Type in a short summary of the action you are taking, such as

  • create page

or

  • add category

(but without the little bullet). Just something short & sweet, so the rest of us who are following changes as they go in, can just check out the Summary part and know what's up. Your can see some examples by other users here: Special:RecentChanges.

Thanks for helping out, and let me know if you have a question. -- RayBirks 23:55, 5 December 2010 (CST)
