I have arrived

Dick, just a fast note to let you know I am nearby. A terrific project! Glad you are already here. :) -- RayBirks 13:51, 20 November 2010 (CST)

On the community portal

Spent some time and expanded the portal, but it seems I am not authorized. Saved most of my work elsewhere, but by any chance did it go into a review queue or some such? Please advise as time permits. Thx! -- RayBirks 22:40, 24 November 2010 (CST)

  • Dick Clark is right once again! The editing conflict has to have been it. Hope my approach isn't too tongue-in-cheek for you! I hope to help newcomers feel at least a little more comfortable. Let the editing begin! -- RayBirks 01:18, 25 November 2010 (CST)

Remaining uncategorized pages

Dick, I've been doing some cleanup, and there are only three pages remaining with no categories. I'm not quite sure how to designate them. Any chance to take a fast peek? They are here. -- RayBirks 14:24, 27 November 2010 (CST)

Cool! -- RayBirks 14:34, 27 November 2010 (CST)

Considering a new category

Not sure I have ever created one before, but it could be time. Can you take a quick peek here? Talk:Bureau of Engraving and Printing. See also the categories on its main page. -- RayBirks 18:42, 28 November 2010 (CST)

Welcome back!

Good to see you around again.  :) -- RayBirks 19:00, 27 January 2011 (CST)

problem with MediaWiki code

It took me a while to figure this out, but long story short, at least one of the mediawiki magic words is coded wrong. "BASEPAGENAME" is supposed to return the page title excluding any current subpage and namespace - effectively the parent page without the namespace. But it doesn't exclude the current subpage. It words like "PAGENAME" should.

Is this something you could fix? --John James 15:05, 8 May 2011 (MSD)
