Parameters

The required parameter is the ID number. The template then uses the article title as the anchor text:

* {{mr|ID}}
* {{mr| id = ID }}

To have the link text be other than the article name, use second parameter:

* {{mr|ID |Name}}
* {{mr| id = ID | name = Name}}

This can be used when the Mises Wiki page name contains disambiguation brackets; for example at the page Loving Life (book) use {{mr|1234|Loving Life}} to have "Loving Life at Mises.org" rather than "Loving Life (book) at Mises.org". This is also necessary should you need to add a Mises.org link to an article about something or someone other than the linked resource(for example, if you include the Mises.org link for Principles of Economics in the Human Action article, you must specify the Principles of Economics name as the text for the link using this option).

Note that the options include the "*" for a bulleted list since this is most likely to be used in an "Links" section.

There is also the section parameter which may be used in the future to link to other sections of the site.

Detailed instructions

  1. Copy and paste one of the options above into the article
  2. Go to http://Mises.org and search for the resource you want (say, Lessons for the Young Economist; you'll see a list of all parts of the site that point to that title.)
  3. Hover your mouse pointer over the hyperlinks and find the one that has "/resources/" in the URL: http://mises.org/resources/5706/
  4. Once you find that page, you'll need to copy that number that comes after "/resources/".
  5. You can click that link and go to the page and and copy the number from the address bar in your browser, or alternatively you can right-click (or ctrl+click on a Mac) on the hyperlink and "Copy link location" to your clipboard.
  6. Copy only that number (here, "5706")
  7. Replace "ID" in the template code with the number
    1. For the first option above, you'll then have
      * {{mr|5706}} resulting in:
      Note that the link text is the same as the title of the page the template is used on; outside the page "Lessons for the Young Economist", use the second option:
    2. Replace "ID" with the number and "Name" with "Lessons for the Young Economist"
      * {{mr|5706|''Lessons for the Young Economist''}} results in:
